I’ve had to step back from my business recently due to a health issue, but even in the midst of that, I’ve found a few things to be grateful for.
In this episode, I share how this experience has reinforced something I’ve always believed: there’s probably nothing more important in your business than having a strong team you can rely on.
Listen below.
0:27 Leading up to this, I’ve been sharing my experience managing a concussion I suffered on April 4. It’s been five tough weeks. It hasn’t been easy.
1:21 I’m grateful for my recurring revenue — it means no sales calls just to keep things running. This is exactly why I’ve always championed the subscription model.
1:58 Plenty of people say they don’t want a team. I get it because I used to feel the same way.
2:23 Hiring, people quitting, and managing a team were some of my least favorite parts of running a business. I didn’t want to deal with any of it.
2:39 For some, running solo works perfectly, and that’s totally fine. I’m not here to push anything on anyone.
2:56 A great team isn’t just valuable for the freedom it gives you. It’s essential when you need to take unexpected time away from the business.
3:21 If you’re thinking about building or growing a team but feeling unsure, know that there are proven systems to help you avoid common mistakes.
