When things get confusing, I like to read to clear things up and to give me new perspectives. That’s why I wanted to outline 4 of the best books for accountants to read right now as the world throws us a curveball.

While I did make a post on the subject of my favorite 5 books for accounting firms looking to modernize years back, I wanted to make a new post that takes into account changes currently happening in the world.

Without further ado, my favorite 4 books for accountants to read right now:

4 Best Books for Accountants to Read Right Now

Show Notes

1:00 – Books help provide me with clarity when things become unclear

1:23 – The first of the 4 best books for accountants to read right now is Traction by Gino Wickman.

1:50 – What I like most about the book is that it boils down your strategic planning into a concise 1-page document to give your firm some direction.

2:45 – Next up is a Getting Things Done by David Allen to give you a system to help de-clutter and de-stress you from all the stuff constantly flying in your face.

4:34 – Simon Sinek’s “Start with Why” book is next up on my list to help your remote team members connect with your firm on a deep level even though everyone’s working from a distance right now.

5:34 – Last up: Ron Baker’s “Implementing Value Pricing”. People are tighter with their money right now, you need a good argument about why your services make sense and the price you’re charging, which revolves around value and upfront pricing.

6:21 – Have questions about building & scaling your modern firm? Readers of my newsletter will have access to my personal email to ask questions you want me to answer on the podcast. Sign up here.
